Susanna (SBSS) Coptic Orthodox Church located in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland! We are a community of Orthodox Christians living the good news of Jesus Christ which transforms people who transform the world. Divine Liturgy is held every S

unday at our Church in Federal Hill Baltimore. Sunday Schedule: Matins begins at 8:30am, Offertory 9:15am, Gospel/Sermon 10:00am, and Communion at 11am. Our Coffee Hour is from 11-12:00pm. Vespers is held every Saturday at Church at 7:00pm.

🌿☦️ Blessed Feast of the Assumption of St. Mary! ☦️🌿

Today, we joyfully celebrate the blessed feast of the Assumption of our beloved Mother, St. Mary—the Theotokos, the Mother of God, and the one who faithfully carried Christ within her and followed Him throughout her life. 🤍

May we learn from St. Mary’s humility, obedience, faith, and complete trust in God. May her prayers and intercessions be with us and our families, and may she continually lead us closer to her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are reminded of the beautiful example of humility, purity, faith, and complete trust in God that we see in the life of the Mother of God.

These words are a beautiful reminder that we do not approach God because we are worthy. We approach Him because He is merciful. Christ came into the world to call sinners to repentance, and during this holy fast, may we draw closer to Him through prayer, fasting, repentance, and the intercession of St. Mary.

May this Fast of St. Mary be a time of renewal—a time to quiet our hearts, return to God, and place our burdens before Him.

O Holy St. Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and lead us closer to your Son. 🙏☦️

These past two days have been such a beautiful time with the STSA mission group here at St. Barnabas & St. Susanna! ❤️

Here’s a little snapshot of all they’ve been up to! From serving at The Baltimore Station and 4myCity, to walking through our neighborhood and praying with our neighbors, creating icons to share, and ending the day with a movie night with our community—it’s been a beautiful time of service, fellowship, and connection. 🙏🏽❤️

We’re so grateful to have STSA here with us and to see God working through this mission experience!

❤️ What a beautiful week of faith, fellowship, and service with our brothers and sisters from St. Mark’s Chicago! 🙏

Over the past week, they came alongside our SBSS community and served in so many meaningful ways—from My Sister’s Place, 4myCity, and Baltimore Station, to going out into the neighborhood to share homeless care kits with our neighbors.

And the week wasn’t all work! We also enjoyed fellowship, a movie night, and a home supply giveaway—sharing not only resources, but friendship, laughter, and the love of Christ. ❤️

Thank you, St. Mark’s Chicago, for giving your time, energy, and hearts to serve alongside us. Your presence made an impact, and we are so grateful you chose to spend this week with our SBSS family!
