He looks beyond our faults and meets us at the place of our need. Jesus asked the man at the pool of Bethesda, who had been an invalid for 38 years, did he want to be made whole. The man's response focused on his own limitations in changing his situation. Jesus then said to him "get up, pick up your mat and walk." The Lord is calling us from the limitations of our infirmities to walk in the newness of life. Our empty bed of afflication is a testimony to the healing, delivering, transforming and liberating power of God. "Take up your mat" and walk to the glory of God!
