Receive MORE or Lose EVERYTHING

"Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them." - Jesus, Matthew 13:12
We need to spend TIME to nuture our gifts and talents. TIME to be the best in school; on the job; in our family lives; in our spiritual lives, etc.

TIME to personally study, learn, improve, meditate, etc.
Instead of spending 8 hours watching sports or soap operas each week, why not slash it to 4 or 2? Instead of going to Church, Temple or Mosque everyday, why not reduce it to once or twice weekly? Some people are doing poorly and hoping for a "miracle" WITHOUT putting in the WORK required.

God will not give you any MIRACLE! He will give it to those who PRAY and put in the WORK required. When you do your part, then you are making use of "what you have". As a result, God will give MORE to you. But if you give all kinds of excuses and fail to discipline yourself with regards to self-improvement, then even the little you have shall be taken away from you. No amount of prayers, anointing oil, etc shall bring "the miracle". FAITH without WORK is dead!

The Misunderstanding of Suffering
Jesus gave a great teaching on: "The Misunderstanding of Suffering — Discourse on Job"

Urantia Book 148:6.11
"Then Jesus made this final statement: “The Father in heaven does not willingly afflict the children of men. Man suffers, first, from the accidents of time and the imperfections of the evil of an immature physical existence. Next, he suffers the inexorable consequences of sin—the transgression of the laws of life and light. And finally, man reaps the harvest of his own iniquitous persistence in rebellion against the righteous rule of heaven on earth. But man’s miseries are not a personal visitation of divine judgment. Man can, and will, do much to lessen his temporal sufferings. But once and for all be delivered from the superstition that God afflicts man at the behest of the evil one. Study the Book of Job just to discover how many wrong ideas of God even good men may honestly entertain; and then note how even the painfully afflicted Job found the God of comfort and salvation in spite of such erroneous teachings. Encounters in God

DEEP truths!
To really KNOW GOD and be close to Him, you have to be wholeheartedly dedicated to having, in your own personal life, "the realities of experience - spiritual experience" - experiences in God; encounters with God; experiences in the supernatural. "Teachings" alone would not cut it. Teachings ought to point you to or assist you towards having deep and powerful encounters with God; otherwise, forget it. Teachings without solid "encounters in God" will just get you tied down in the muddy waters of self-righteous religion. Please, check this out:

"Jesus well knew that God can be known only by the realities of experience; never can he be understood by the mere teaching of the mind. Jesus taught his apostles that, while they never could fully understand God, they could most certainly know him, even as they had known the Son of Man. The Essentials of Salvation

Urantia Book 140:10.9
John asked Jesus, “Master, what is the kingdom of heaven?” And Jesus answered: “The kingdom of heaven consists in these three essentials: first, recognition of the fact of the sovereignty of God; second, belief in the truth of sonship with God; and third, faith in the effectiveness of the supreme human desire to do the will of God—to be like God. And this is the good news of the gospel: that by faith every mortal may have all these essentials of salvation.”

The Faith of Jesus

196:0.1 JESUS enjoyed a sublime and wholehearted faith in God. He experienced the ordinary ups and downs of mortal existence, but he never religiously doubted the certainty of God’s watchcare and guidance. His faith was the outgrowth of the insight born of the activity of the divine presence, his indwelling Adjuster. His faith was neither traditional nor merely intellectual; it was wholly personal and purely spiritual.

196:0.2 The human Jesus saw God as being holy, just, and great, as well as being true, beautiful, and good. All these attributes of divinity he focused in his mind as the “will of the Father in heaven.” Jesus’ God was at one and the same time “The Holy One of Israel” and “The living and loving Father in heaven.” The concept of God as a Father was not original with Jesus, but he exalted and elevated the idea into a sublime experience by achieving a new revelation of God and by proclaiming that every mortal creature is a child of this Father of love, a son of God.
