Who are we?

"Never place a period where God has placed a comma. God is still speaking."

- Gracie Allen

United Evangelical Church was founded in 1873, and is part of the United Church of Christ. We believe that God is still speaking, bringing meaning into our 21st century world. Our faith may be 2000 years old but our thinking is not. United is an open and affirming, still speaking congregation. To learn more visit our website at https://unitedevangelical.org/.

The United Church of Christ has a vision of a just world for all. In this world all are welcomed, everyone is loved and justice is inherent. We are all seated at the table together, united as one body in Christ. All life forces are considered precious gifts. The 3 Great Loves initiative is the denomination’s opportunity to express how our Love of Neighbor, Love of Children, and Love of Creation work together to address the inequities in our current world. During the upcoming years, there will be moments of special invitation to participate in this denomination-wide undertaking. One by one we will focus on each of the 3 Great Loves in service to our communities. Watch this space for updates on the movement of our vision.
