This Sunday we celebrated Pentecost and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

In Acts 2, the Spirit came with wind and fire, empowering the disciples to proclaim the mighty acts of God in languages others could understand. In John 20, the Spirit came more quietly, as Jesus breathed peace upon his disciples and sent them out with the power to forgive.

Whether dramatic or gentle, visible or quiet, the Holy Spirit still transforms. The Spirit breaks down dividing walls, pushes us in new directions, and empowers us to share the good news in ways others can hear and receive.

May we be open to the Spirit’s work among people and in places we least expect, and may our lives proclaim the mighty acts of God in word and deed.

Join us tomorrow for a special Youth Sunday and Ascension Sunday service!

Our children and youth will help lead us in worship as we celebrate the risen and ascended Christ. We’ll reflect on Psalm 24:7–10 and Luke 24:44–53, where Jesus opens the minds of his disciples and sends them out as witnesses.

This weekend we’re honored to host three sold-out performances of Hampden Elementary/Middle School’s production of The Wiz! 🌟👠✨

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support our local public school and celebrate the arts in our community. It’s a joy to open our doors for students, families, and neighbors!
