Birth of a Church

Power of Deliverance Ministries did not begin like a common ministry. In the leap year of 2012, Power of Deliverance surely did leap from a God given dream into a vision. Pastors Nathaniel and Erika Shears walked by faith for the ministry after transitioning from the Redeemed Church of Christ under the leadership of Apostle Clarence Weston. They trusted God every step of the way

regardless of the lack of finances, a church building, appointed leadership and congregants in order to stabilize their vision. Lead by the Holy Spirit, Pastors Nathaniel and Erika Shears was directed to Greater Paradise under the leadership of Overseer Pastor L. Shawn Bell to be poured into for the embarking on their new journey. Now Obeying the voice of God, they established the ministry from within the comforts of their home on Elmora Ave where they were teaching and preaching the Word of God. Their home doors became the church doors and to this day their doors are still open. Through much prayer and faith, like Abram, God moved them into an uncommon place to stabilize the vision in order to transition the vision into the mission. The mission to educate, equip and empower. We Know, We Have, We do and that's the result of the Power of Deliverance. A place where there is healing for your soul. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
