In the final sermon of the series “The Deep End” , pastor Bob explains how often we treat our walk with Christ as though it is a straight forward map with a clear goal, when in reality, our journey, fraught with doubt, bumps, and falls is not a detour but the true road. If you find yourself confused and lost , that is ok and he encourages us to be confused and lost in the presence of God and God’s people.

Pastor Bob reminds us of the costs of comparing ourselves to others.

leads to a lowering of our own self worth and often to perfectionism . Most importantly though, it leads to a lack of empathy for one another. The more we compare ourselves to one another the less we learn about and connect with each other.
