Sister Felipe Lopez has returned to her home of origin to live out the rest of her retirement. She arrived on June 1 at Villa Notre Dame Retirement Home in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Following a lovely going-away celebration at Stella Maris, Sister Felipe was ready for her new adventure. We will miss her!
In the photo below, Sister Felipe, sitting, is shown with Sisters Maritia Smith, Jane Irons, Felipe Lopez, Bernice Feilinger, Judith Ring, and Theresa Mary Linz.

Seeing nature literally unfold before our eyes has been a beautiful experience for the Sisters at SSND-Waterdown. It began two weeks ago when we received baby Painted Lady caterpillars to raise.

Day by day, we observed the tiny caterpillars eat and grow. When they were ready, they formed their pupae, where they remained for over a week.

When they finally emerged as delicate butterflies, everyone - including Sister Mary Jeanne Davidson (shown here) - was awe-struck. Read and see more!
