Since 2015, Har Sinai-Oheb Shalom Congregation members have been meeting together on weekends to pack backpacks full of food for vulnerable school children in Baltimore.

And just like that…. We “turned the room” this afternoon and were the proud venue for Jews United for Justice, of an afternoon of learning and taking action on the status of immigration in our country today. U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen was the keynote speaker.

The one-millionth meal prepared at Har Sinai - Oheb Shalom Congregation for Weekend Backpacks Baltimore was delivered today! The special celebration was recognized by the Baltimore City Council, courtesy of Councilman Isaac Yitzy Schleifer, and the Maryland state legislature courtesy of Senator Shelly Hettleman.
