He went before us. Through chaos. Through sin. Through death itself.

He walked straight into it, willingly. Making a way through what would have swallowed us whole.

The tomb is empty. The stone is rolled away.
And because He lives… we don’t stand back in fear, we go forward in confidence.

Not as spectators.
But as a royal priesthood.
His people. His own.

Death has lost its sting.
Hope is alive.
And the way is open.

He is risen.

He wasn’t taken. He offered Himself.

Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane, the very place He knew they would find Him. He didn’t hide. He didn’t run. He stepped forward.
Not as a victim… but as the Lamb.
Not out of weakness… but with full authority.
Not forced… but willing.
Every moment was under His control.
Every step led to the cross on purpose.
When accused, He could have spoken.
When struck, He could have called angels.
But He remained silent.

It wasn’t because He was powerless, for He was all powerful. It was because He was surrendered.

His silence revealed a perfect self-offering. He would not say a word to stop what He had come to do.
He stood speechless…because He was bearing our guilt. And in that silence, He answered everything.

“It is finished.”

Surely this wasn’t the way anyone expected a king to enter a city. No chariot. No throne. No crown. No army.
Just humility… unassuming, upside down to everything the world calls power and prestige.

God was making a point.

As the crowds cried, “Hosanna” (save us now) they were saying more than they knew. They didn’t just need a King… they needed a Savior.

On this triumphs entry, Jesus didn’t come to display power, but to demonstrate love. He didn’t come to establish an earthly kingdom, but a spiritual one. (The new temple would not be the hearts of His people).

He entered Jerusalem not to take a throne, but to walk the road to the cross which was the very answer to their cry: “save us.” Real saving. Not as the world gives.

Because true salvation wouldn’t come through force or spectacle, but through humility and sacrifice.

If this is how He chose to fulfill His purpose,
you can trust Him with yours. Even when your path doesn’t look grand or easy, He is still leading, with meaning, grace, and redemption.

It’s astonishing to think…

God Himself stepped into His own creation.
He clothed Himself in flesh, became a man, and entered human history at the perfect moment, on a rescue mission.

Jesus came to do what God always said He would do since the fall: bridge the divide between God and humanity and restore what was broken.

And when He rose from the grave, history was changed forever.

The resurrection isn’t just an event we remember, it’s a living hope that transforms the heart of anyone who receives Him. Where there was death, He brings life. Where there was despair, He brings hope. Where there was separation, He brings restoration.

This Easter, come celebrate the risen Christ with us.
