The day after we exalt the Cross, we turn to the one who stood beneath it. Today the Church honors Our Lady of Sorrows, remembering Mary's faithful presence through Christ's suffering. We ask her intercession for all who carry sorrow of their own.

On National Grandparents Day, we give thanks for the grandparents in our lives and community; the ones who taught us to pray, to laugh, to sit still and listen. Their quiet faithfulness shapes families in ways that last generations. We're grateful for all they've given, and all they continue to give.

Twenty-five years have passed, yet we remember. Today, we pause in solemn remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and we honor the first responders, firefighters, police officers, members of our military, and ordinary men and women whose extraordinary courage shone through one of our nation’s darkest days.

We remember the families whose lives were forever changed. We remember those who still carry the physical and emotional wounds of that day. And we pray for a world still longing for peace. We entrust all who died into the merciful arms of God and turn to Mary, Queen of Peace, asking for her maternal intercession for our nation and for all people.

Blessed Mother, wrap your mantle around those who continue to grieve. Comfort every heart that still bears the pain of September 11. Intercede for our country, protect those who serve and sacrifice for others, and lead us ever closer to your Son, Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

We remember. We pray. We will never forget.

Today the Church celebrates the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary – the birth of the one who would carry hope into the world. As Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church, we look to Mary's life as our model of humble, faithful service.

Every Sister answers a different call — some in the classroom, some at the bedside, some behind the scenes keeping a household of faith running. This Saturday, we give thanks for the quiet, faithful work of our Sisters. Grateful for each “yes.”

Nathanael, called Bartholomew, was told by Christ: an Israelite in whom there is no guile. Today the Church honors St. Bartholomew, apostle and martyr, whose faith carried the Gospel to distant lands.

Today the Church celebrates the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation and one of the great feasts of our Catholic faith.

As Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church, we look to Mary as our model of faith, humility, and unwavering trust in God. Assumed body and soul into the glory of Heaven, she reminds us that God's promises are always fulfilled and that our true home is with Him.

Today, we ask Our Blessed Mother to lovingly intercede for our Sisters, our ministries, and for each of our friends, benefactors, supporters, and all those who entrust us with their prayers. May she wrap you and your loved ones in her mantle of protection, bring comfort to those who are suffering, strength to those who are weary, and hope to every heart.

Holy Mary, Mother of God and Mother of the Church, pray for us, and lead us ever closer to your Son, Jesus. Amen.

Blessed Feast of the Assumption!
