Ten were healed.
Nine kept walking.
One turned back.

Why?

Because when you truly see the glory of God displayed in the radical grace of Jesus, walking away like nothing happened is no longer an option!

Grace stopped him in his tracks.
Gratitude turned him around.
And worship brought him to the feet of Jesus.

Radical grace produces extravagant worship.

When you realize what Jesus has done for you; when you remember what He rescued you from, what He forgave, what He restored….casual worship just doesn’t make sense.

People who know they’ve been given much grace can’t help but give Jesus much praise.

Don’t just receive the gift and keep walking.

TURN BACK. FALL DOWN. WORSHIP JESUS.

When the “prodigal” decided to go home.
How many steps do you think he took…

before he expected to be rejected?

Fifty?

A hundred?

Every step rehearsing an apology.
Every step convinced he had gone too far.
Every step wondering if home still had a place for someone like him.

But the Father never waited for the speech.

He ran.

Grace outran guilt.
Mercy outran shame.
Love outran every lie the son had believed about himself and every sin he had done.

So here’s the question…

What if the only thing standing between you and the Father isn’t your sin…

It’s your assumption that He isn’t already running toward you?

Jesus loves you.

Not the future version of you.
Not the cleaned-up version of you.
You.

His love is not waiting on your perfection.
His grace is not intimidated by your past.

Grateful for a church and a community full of people like Gage and Robby Cook…people who take the words of Jesus seriously and simply look for ways to love their neighbors well.

Today was a beautiful reminder that when ordinary people faithfully serve, God does extraordinary things. Thank you to everyone who gave their time, resources, and energy to make The Back to School Bash such a blessing to so many families.

Yesterday we were reminded of something our hearts desperately need: God’s glory is the goal…not just His blessings.

So often we come to God asking, “What can You do for me?” But Scripture invites us to ask a better question: “God, how can my life bring You glory?”

When His glory becomes our greatest pursuit, His blessings become a gift instead of an idol.

Let’s start this week with our eyes fixed on Jesus. Glory first. Blessings second.
