There is just something special happening at Action Church right now.

People are finding community.
Lives are being changed.
Families are getting connected.
Faith is growing.

Last Sunday we celebrated baptisms, had a packed house, and shared a meal together. It felt a lot like the church is supposed to feel.

Now we get to do it all again this Sunday.

If you've been thinking about checking out Action Church, this is your invitation.

No pressure.
No perfect people.
No pretending.

Just real people learning to follow Jesus and do life together.

Week 3 of Philippians is coming this Sunday at Action Church, and Pastor Gary will be talking about something every one of us struggles with...

Letting go.

Paul had the résumé. The accomplishments. The reputation. The status. Yet he came to the conclusion that everything he once chased was worthless compared to knowing Jesus.

The truth is, many of us are holding onto things that are keeping us from experiencing the joy God has for us.

Past hurts.
Past failures.
Past successes.
Wrong priorities.
Things we thought would satisfy us but never did.

This Sunday we're talking about finding joy in letting go.

If you've ever felt stuck, frustrated, or like you're carrying things you were never meant to carry, this message is for you.

Just a reminder that there will be no in-person Action Church service on Sunday, July 5.

With it being a holiday weekend, we felt like it was the perfect opportunity to give our incredible volunteers a Sunday off.

One of the realities of being a portable church is that every Sunday takes a lot of work. Trailers have to be loaded and unloaded. Equipment has to be set up and torn down. Teams arrive early and stay late. Week after week, people sacrifice their time and energy so that others can experience the hope of Jesus.

We are incredibly grateful for every volunteer who makes Action Church happen.

Take the weekend. Spend time with family. Enjoy the holiday. Get some rest.

But before we get there, let’s finish strong.

We still have two Sundays left before our Day of Rest, and we’d love to see the gym packed out. Invite somebody. Bring a friend. Let’s celebrate what God is doing in our church and make these next two weeks some of the strongest Sundays of the summer.

What a day yesterday was at Action Church!

We had a packed house, celebrated baptisms, shared a meal together, and got to see God move in some incredible ways.

There is just something special about gathering around tables after church. Conversations happen. Friendships are built. New people stop feeling like guests and start feeling like family.

One of our core values is that church was never meant to be something you attend. It was meant to be a community you belong to.

To everyone who brought food, served, helped set up, cleaned up, stayed late, and made the day possible, thank you.

And to those who took the step of baptism, we are so proud of you. There is nothing better than celebrating people going public with their faith in Jesus.

Our hearts are full today.

Just a reminder for tomorrow’s BBQ & Baptisms!

We’ll have the BBQ covered, but we’d love for everyone to bring a side dish or dessert to share.

We’re looking forward to celebrating life change, eating good food, and spending time together as a church family.

🍖 BBQ & BAPTISMS TOMORROW! 💧

Tomorrow is one of our favorite Sundays of the year.

We’ll gather for worship at 10 AM, celebrate people taking their next step of faith through baptism, and then stick around afterward for BBQ, community, and a great afternoon together.

For everyone being baptized tomorrow:

• Bring a change of clothes
• Bring a towel
• Please do not wear a white shirt

Immediately following service, you’ll have an opportunity to change clothes. Once you’re ready, please find Christine on the right side of the bleachers and she’ll help get you checked in and lined up.

If you’ve recently given your life to Jesus and want to go public with your faith through baptism, it’s not too late. We’d love to celebrate with you.

Who's ready for church Sunday?

Not perfect people.

Not people who have it all figured out.

Just a bunch of normal folks trying to follow Jesus, love people, and take action.

If you've had a great week, come celebrate.

If you've had a rough week, come recharge.

If you're carrying some baggage, bring it with you.

If you're not sure what you believe, you're welcome too.

We'll have hot coffee, great people, authentic worship, and a message that will challenge and encourage you.

And don't forget, after service we're firing up the grills for BBQ & Baptisms.

Sounds like a pretty good Sunday to me.
