It’s just different.

We hear it all the time.

Action doesn’t feel like church.
It doesn’t look like church.
It doesn’t sound like the church a lot of people grew up in.

Good.

Because we’ve never been interested in doing church just because that’s the way church has always been done.

Tomorrow morning we’re packing out an old gym in Downtown Ball Ground. We’re going to worship LOUD. We’re kicking off a brand new series on Noah. We’re going to open the Bible, talk about real life, and believe God is going to meet people exactly where they are.

No pretending.
No perfect people.
No religious performance.

Just a bunch of messed up people chasing after Jesus together.

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to give church another shot, this is it.

We’re kicking off a brand new series at Action Church called NOAH: Faith in the Flood.

The set list is 🔥.
The message is ready.
And we believe God is going to do something special in the gym.

Now here’s the deal…

We KNOW it’s a holiday weekend.

We also know every excuse in the world is going to show up between now and 10AM Sunday.

You’ll be tired.
There will be plans.
There will be cookouts.
There will be football.
Somebody will decide Sunday morning is the perfect time to do something else.

Don’t wait until Sunday morning to decide if you’re coming to church.

DECIDE NOW.

Because the enemy doesn’t always need to wreck your life to get you off track. Sometimes he just needs to keep you distracted enough to stay home.

So make the decision.

We’re going to worship LOUD.
We’re opening the Word.
We’re starting a brand new series.
And we want YOU in the house with us.

THIS SUNDAY: NOAH: FAITH IN THE FLOOD

This week at Action Church we are kicking off a brand new teaching series on one of the most familiar stories in the Bible.

Noah.

Most of us grew up hearing the Sunday School version. Noah built a big boat. The animals came two by two. It rained for 40 days. There was a rainbow at the end.

But Noah’s story is a whole lot messier than the pictures hanging in the church nursery.

It’s a story about trusting God when what He is asking you to do doesn’t make sense yet.

It’s about building before there is a single cloud in the sky.

It’s about what happens when the rain actually starts falling.

It’s about surviving seasons when you feel stuck in the boat and you have no idea when the water is going down.

And it’s about learning how to walk into whatever God has for you after the storm is finally over.

For the next four weeks, we’re going to walk through the story of Noah and talk about faith in the middle of the flood.

This Sunday we start at the beginning:

BUILD BEFORE THE RAIN.

Sometimes faith means obeying God before you have any evidence that what He told you is going to happen.

Yesterday, we wrapped up Summer of Rock, and we couldn’t think of a better way to close out the summer.

But now we turn the page.

THIS SUNDAY we kick off a brand new series:

NOAH: FAITH IN THE FLOOD 🌊

Everybody knows the story. Noah. The ark. The animals. The flood.

But there is a whole lot more to Noah’s story than the version we learned as kids.

What do you do when God asks you to build something that doesn’t make sense yet?

What do you do when you’re obeying God and there isn’t a cloud in the sky?

What do you do when the rain finally starts falling?

For the next four weeks, we’re going to dig into the story of Noah and talk about what faith looks like before the rain, during the storm, and after the flood.

Week One starts THIS SUNDAY.

FOUND PEOPLE FIND PEOPLE.

This Sunday is going to be one of those Sundays you don’t want to experience alone.

We’re wrapping up Summer of Rock with “Times Like These” by Foo Fighters and talking about what it looks like to keep living, keep believing and keep moving forward when life doesn’t go the way you thought it would.

And yes, we might have something special planned to honor Dolly Parton too. 👀

But here’s what we really want you to do this weekend:

BRING SOMEBODY WITH YOU.

Not somebody who already has a church.

Invite the friend who hasn’t been to church in years. Invite the coworker who has questions about God. Invite the neighbor who thinks church isn’t for them. Invite the person who has been through hell lately and could use a little hope.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You just have to make the invitation.

Somebody invited you. Somebody made room for you. Somebody helped you find your way.

Now it’s your turn.

FOUND PEOPLE FIND PEOPLE.

Text them today. Tag them below. Pick them up Sunday morning. Buy them breakfast. Do whatever it takes to get them there.

We’re going to honor the life of Dolly Parton with “There Was Jesus.”

But more importantly, we’re going to worship Jesus with one of the most powerful reminders any of us could ever sing.

Through the good.

Through the bad.

Through the moments we understood and the moments that made absolutely no sense.

Looking back, we can say...

There was Jesus.

Go give it a listen this week. Turn it up. Learn it. And come ready to BELT IT OUT with us Sunday morning.
