Welcome to the month of REST and REFRESHMENT!

Summer is officially here, and with it comes a beautiful invitation from God: REST!

💭 June Focus: SPIRITUAL REFRESHMENT

This month, we're learning what it means to RENEW our walk through rest, restoration, and reconnection with God!

🎯 Remember + Recall + Renew = REST:

* REMEMBER that God rested on the 7th day (and so should you!)
* RECALL times when rest refreshed your soul
* RENEW your commitment to prioritize peace and stillness

💡 June Challenge: This month, PROTECT your rest! Don't let summer busyness steal your peace. Find moments of stillness, solitude, and spiritual refreshment. Your soul needs it!

✨ Summer doesn't have to mean EXHAUSTION. It can mean RESTORATION! Let's make June a month of intentional rest! 🙏

Today we HONOR.
Today we’re GRATEFUL.

This day isn’t just about BBQs and long weekends (though we’re grateful for those too!). It’s about pausing to remember the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

💭 Memorial Day Reflection:

At Unity in Faith, our 2026 theme is “REMEMBERING Our Way Forward” - and today is a powerful example of why remembering matters!

When we REMEMBER:

* We honor those who came before us
* We appreciate what we have
* We’re motivated to live worthy of the sacrifice
* We carry forward their legacy
* We don’t take freedom for granted

🙏 Today’s Prayer: “Lord, we thank You for the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Comfort the families who still grieve. Strengthen those who currently serve. And help us to NEVER forget the price of freedom, both the freedom we enjoy as Americans AND the spiritual freedom we have through Christ’s sacrifice. Amen.” 🇺🇸✝️

🇺🇸 It's Memorial Day Weekend!

As we head into this long weekend, let's remember what this holiday is really about:

💭 Memorial Day honors those who gave their lives in service to our country. It's a day of REMEMBRANCE and GRATITUDE.

At Unity in Faith, we're grateful for:

✅ The sacrifice of those who served
✅ The freedom we enjoy because of their courage
✅ The families who continue to carry the weight of loss

🙏 This weekend, let's:

* REMEMBER those who gave everything
* THANK veterans and active service members
* PRAY for Gold Star families
* HONOR their legacy by living as people of peace and unity

And spiritually speaking, let's also remember the ULTIMATE sacrifice - Jesus giving His life for OUR freedom! That's a sacrifice worth celebrating every single day! ✝️

✨ Weekend Challenge:

* Thank a veteran if you know one
* Pray for military families
* Reflect on the freedoms you enjoy
* Remember the price that was paid

🌱 One of the most powerful truths in Scripture: You don't just GO THROUGH hard times - you can GROW THROUGH them!

💭 The Difference:

Going Through = Surviving (just getting by)
Growing Through = Thriving (becoming stronger!)

🙌 How to Grow THROUGH Your Challenges:

1️⃣ Ask "What?" not "Why?"
* Instead of "Why is this happening to me?"
* Ask "What is God teaching me through this?"

2️⃣ Look for the LESSON
* Every challenge carries a hidden lesson
* Every struggle develops a new strength
* Every test prepares you for a testimony

3️⃣ Stay ROOTED
* Keep praying (even when it's hard!)
* Keep worshiping (even when you don't feel like it!)
* Keep trusting (even when you can't see!)

4️⃣ Remember PAST GROWTH
* You've grown through things before!
* God brought you through then, He'll bring you through now!
* Your testimony is proof of His faithfulness!

💪 You're not stuck IN your situation - you're growing THROUGH it! Keep going! The breakthrough is coming!

THURSDAY TRUTH 🌸

Ever feel like you're in the WRONG place?

* Wrong job
* Wrong city
* Wrong season
* Wrong circumstances

Here's a perspective shift: What if you're not in the wrong place, you're just PLANTED there for a reason? 🌱

God doesn't waste anything! Even difficult soil can produce beautiful flowers!

Sometimes He plants you in HARD PLACES to:

✅ Develop your roots (build strength!)
✅ Display His glory (show what He can do!)
✅ Impact others (they need YOUR light there!)
✅ Prepare you for promotion (training ground!)

💡 Biblical Example:

* Joseph was "planted" in prison → became second in command of Egypt
* Moses was "planted" in the wilderness → led millions to freedom
* Esther was "planted" in the palace → saved her entire nation
* Jesus was "planted" in a manger → saved the whole world!

Where you are now isn't where you'll always be, but RIGHT NOW, there's a PURPOSE for your position! 💪

Bloom where you're planted! Let God use you WHERE YOU ARE while He prepares you for where you're GOING! 🌺
