His Lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’”
Matthew 25:23 KJV
We’ve all heard the saying, “Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither are we.” It’s true that building a successful life takes time and effort. We must gradually build our character, integrity, and life responsibilities. Although we live in a social climate and culture that makes us believe it’s all an overnight success, that’s wrong. We learn lessons of life some as we go and others by trial and error. Either way, most of us don’t start out in major but minor. The verse gives us clear and reliable instruction: before you major in major, do exceptionally well in minor. So, as life continues, be faithful to the few or even the little. Take care of the inexpensive so when the expensive comes, you’ll have developed great behaviors to manage and rule the greater. It never hurts to walk through the steps to accomplish the greater. ❤️
