Thank you to the men who came out and served today by assembling the new playground for the youth and families! Thank you Willette and Mallory for cleaning up after us and thank you to Donald Ausburn for leveling the mulch with your tractor, that made the job much easier! You guys are the best! Thank you Trudy Baird for making us lunch!

Wonderful night to celebrate the birth of Jesus! The Christmas program was fantastic and the time of fellowship afterwards was really great! Lamar Christian church wants to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!

Luke 2:10-14 NIV

10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

Great night of fun and fellowship with church family; passing out candy tonight at the Cornelia Christmas parade! Thanks Tracie and fam for decorating and filling candy bags. Also thanks Mr. Donald for pulling us!

Happy Monday, Ladies! ♥️
Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 11, 2021. We will be having a Ladies Ornament Exchange from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Throughout the month of November I ask that you be on the lookout for a unique, special, beautiful, or funny ornament that catches your eye. You will bring an ornament ($10 or LESS) to the event either boxed, bagged, or wrapped. You can put YOUR name on it as who it is “from”, but please leave the “to” area blank. We will be playing a fun game to exchange our ornaments. We will do this event the first week of December so that we can display them on our personal trees. I hope that each year when you pull out your ornament and place it on your tree that you remember the sweet sister who saw it in a store and loved it — and that you will whisper a prayer for her and remember what a special treasure she is. 🌲
If you are able, please bring a finger food for the group to enjoy before we play our game. I do plan to have a bowl of punch for all to enjoy, but you are welcome to bring a personal beverage of your choice if you prefer something else. 🫖

It was a beautiful evening at Lamar Christian Church as we gathered in fellowship for our Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat! 🍭

There was a wonderful turn out, more than enough delicious food to feed our bellies, some fun games to enjoy, pumpkins ready to paint, a cake walk with a table FULL of treats, multiple vehicles set up with candy for trunk or treat, and we ended the evening with a much enjoyed hayride! 🚜

I want to thank Tracie Morris for heading this event and all the hard work she put in, Trudy Baird for organizing our meal and beautifully decorating the fellowship hall, Donald Ausburn for taking us on our hayride — as well as every single person who played an important role in the evenings success. If you brought a dish, baked or bought a dessert, volunteered at a game station, brought candy and/or decorated a trunk, helped with decorating, or in any other way — WE THANK YOU! The children thank you! 🙏🏻

The smiles I saw across these little ones faces tonight let me know how much they truly enjoyed the evening and every well planned detail. We look forward to future events and growing together in love and fellowship. Remember to keep Jesus first, continue to pray for your brothers and sisters, and don’t forget — in the morning Sunday School starts at 10 am, followed by morning worship at 11 am. Please feel free to join us tomorrow night at 7 pm. We offer classes for all ages and hope to see you there! ☺️

Hey Church family, we want to remind you that THIS Saturday, October 23, 2021 — Lamar Christian Church will be having a Fall Festival followed by dinner and Trunk or Treat! There will be fun for the entire family: from pumpkins, food, and games, to a hayride, decorated trunks, candy and more! Please bring a crock pot dish to enjoy at dinner, a dessert or cake for the cake walk, and candy to give out. If you are able, please join us in decorating a trunk! There’s something special about seeing the joy and excitement of God’s children. The event starts at 3 pm and we sure hope to see you there!
