The Cross Roads Bible Institute (CRBI) is announcing an exciting and important seminar, “Christian Leadership in Ministry, Family, Workplace, & Life Settings.” The seminar will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the Family Life Center – Upper Cross Roads Baptist Church, 2717 Greene Road, Baldwin, MD – a God-honoring church which has served as our ministry-partner for many years. This Leadership seminar benefits not only parishioners and ministry professionals, etc., but also younger parents raising their families and soon to face the leadership challenges in life.

The vision of the CRBI is to be a servant leader in delivering high-quality, biblical education at the lay-level of churches. A primary goal is to edify the body of believers in churches. As led by God, our desire is to equip men & women of faith, in their particular churches, in biblical and life skills, and do so for a mere fraction (a pittance) of Bible college/seminary costs, yet do so with Bible college/seminary high-quality education. For example, the costs for this seminar are as follows: $15 – Seminar; $5 – Manual; with lunch provided (donations accepted).

The topics of this seminar are rich and valuable in terms of leadership skills at all levels of life:
1. Purpose and Objective!�2. The Work of God�3. Leadership (vs. Management, Facilitation, Mentoring)�4. Building a Team - The 5 Stages!�5. Motivation - Theories and Practices�6. Project Charter (Work Authorization)�7. Stakeholders�8. Communication – Meetings, Critical Thinking & Fallacies of Logic, Conflict Resolution�9. Developing the Team�10. Project Work – “Scope, Schedule, Cost, Risk, Quality”�11. The Leadership Factory�12. Final – Our Christian Leadership!

All that we would ask of you is to complete the Registration form laid-out in the Institute’s website (https://crossroadsbi.org). This is necessary for our planning, lunches to be provided, etc. We pray to see you this Saturday on October 11, 2025!

Our 2025 Missions Conference starts this evening! Hope you can join us for our opening service that starts at 7:00 PM. We are again having Saturday sessions with multiple missions guests from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Make your plans now to be with us!

We are excited to invite your family to our weekly children's program called Awana at Upper Cross Roads Baptist Church beginning Sunday, September 14th from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm. We invite children ages PK3-12th grade to be a part of scripture memory, Bible teaching, games, snacks, and awards. Throughout the year there are special nights, such as Glow Night, Fall Harvest, and Family Fun Night. Come and be a part! 2717 Greene Rd, Baldwin, MD 21013.

This is a dear family that has blessed our ministry in many ways for many years in our youth programs. Please keep them in much prayer.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we mourn the passing of Sergeant George Gregory “Greg” Dietz of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. Sgt. Dietz, dedicated 27 years of service to our Agency and the citizens of Harford County. He passed away suddenly at his home last night, leaving behind a deep sense of loss felt across our ranks and by all who knew and loved him.

Throughout his career, Sgt. Dietz served in many roles exemplifying his commitment to public safety and community involvement, including Patrol Services, as a School Resource Officer, a supervisor in the Criminal Investigations and Court Services Divisions. His final assignment was a supervisor of the Civil Unit. He also held many other secondary assignments including; a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team, Public Information Officer, Defensive Tactics Instructor, and an Agency Recruiter.

During this time of grief, our thoughts and prayers are with Sgt. Dietz's family, friends, and loved ones. His presence will be greatly missed, and his impact will not be forgotten.

Our Harford County Community is a great source of strength for us. Your support has sustained us through very dark days. We know that you share this loss with us, and ask that you please keep Sgt. Dietz's family, and the entire HCSO in your thoughts and prayers.
