It has come to our attention that vendors are providing services within the cemetery without prior approval.

While we appreciate the intention behind these efforts, all work must be coordinated to ensure the proper care and preservation of our historic monuments.✨

Over the past several weeks, Union Cemetery has also been made aware of outside vendors entering the cemetery without authorization and performing cleaning with unknown chemicals and other work on historical monuments without approval from cemetery management or the families of record.
This is not permitted.✨

We have a responsibility—not only to the families we serve, but to protect and preserve the history entrusted to us since 1872. Every headstone, marker, and monument within our grounds is considered protected historical property.✨

❗ Please be advised:
No individual or company is allowed to:
• Clean
• Repair
• Reset
• Install
• Remove
• Alter
• Touch or disturb any monument

WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION FROM CEMETERY MANAGEMENT✨

We ask all service providers to respect these policies so we can continue to honor and preserve those laid to rest with dignity.✨
