Monday, September 14, is Holy Cross Day, and we'll keep it with an hour of sung Evening Prayer in the chapel at 6:00pm.
Nearly the whole office is sung to plainsong, the oldest music the Church has. Afterward there's a short reading or devotional and then a stretch of quiet. Pray, meditate, think, rest, or simply sit at the end of the day and let it be.
If you've never prayed a sung office, nothing about it is difficult. There's an order of service showing where everything is, and we'll go slowly. Come as you are, sing if you like, and if you'd rather just listen, that's prayer too.
Monday, September 14, 6 to 7pm, in the chapel. All are welcome. -
