* Cases of water (The water in the town is not safe to drink at
this time.)
* Hygiene products/toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, body
wash, toilet paper, oral care, etc.
* Portable heaters, flashlights, batteries
* Laundry detergent and dish soap
* Cleaning wipes
* Diapers (including adult diapers), baby wipes
* Paper plates, cups, utensils, large Ziploc bags
* New clothes, socks, underwear
* Medications - Advil, etc.
* New toys
* Food (granola bars, fruit pouches, bread, canned goods, etc.)
* Gift cards (grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc.)

We had a great time at our annual Joy of Giving event on Christmas morning, bringing some Christmas cheer to three senior care facilities in town! The residents seemed to enjoy it as much as our groups!

VBS update from Bangor, CA where Josh and Drew White serve. LBC sent a team up there to help put on VBS for the kids!

“VBS up in Bangor is going well! The lessons with the kids are going well and they have good questions for us about who Jesus is. The kids have formed new friendships and have spent time playing games, dancing, and talking with us. It has been a sweet time visiting with the Whites and hearing more from them about how life has been here and running their church has been!”

Update from our Kenya team!

“We got up Sunday morning, ate breakfast prepared by the staff, and set out in teams to preach and teach at three different churches. We wore a little more formal attire (ties and coats) and arrived at the separate churches as they started. I wish I could show you the video of the praise and singing in a mix of English and Swahili. It was so beautiful and moving. I was truly blessed. There were no instruments, piano(technical difficulties), drums, or guitar, just verse and melody led by loud, strong voices. It was so moving.“

Prison Ministry Update:

LBC's Prison Ministry Team joined over 100 volunteers visiting Corcoran Prison and SATIF (a substance abuse facility) in the past weeks, where over 1345 inmates got to have personal conversations with the teams that visited after hearing the gospel presentation. Over 500 of those men made a personal confession to follow Christ. Thanks to the faithful service of all who attended, the seed of the gospel has been planted. Pray that those who responded would continue to grow in their faith as they face many challenges as new believers in this environment.

LBC’s Prison Ministry is headed to Corcoran Prison to minister to the people there. Pray that the gospel will be well received and the hearts of everyone there will be lifted! 🙏🏼

Update from Josh and Drew (and Banks) White! ⛪️

“Church attendance has been around 30-40, which is double what it was, praise God!

We are slowly getting to know people in the church and community. I was able to clearly present the gospel in my sermons on Palm Sunday and Easter. I was also able to share the gospel with a young man in the community and we’ve begun to build relationships with some folks as well.

Sundays have been a new kind of challenge. Our deacon who normally leads worship has some pretty serious health conditions, so we (Drew and I) have been leading worship and I also preach. Pray for strength and endurance!”

So proud of our high schoolers who went to Mexico during spring break to help build houses and share the gospel. They will be debriefing their experience and sharing testimonies with the church this Wednesday!
