Construction of Bakersfield, CA LDS Temple

In regards to Moroni: I found an article that read every new temple after 2019 hasn't had Moroni. A few temples after that time have got one and some have even had them removed. Also one that said, "Occasionally, building codes, cultural misconceptions, or architectural designs preclude the use of the angel Moroni statue." Our local temple will not have him. And here are a couple of articles I was able to find regarding the statue. (I'll put the second link in the comments.)

The gold-gilded statue of the Angel Moroni has long been an iconic image in The Church of Jesus Christ. You can find these statues scattered across the world, perched high on the spires of the temples. Moroni holds his trumpet aloft, most often facing east, ready to herald in the second coming. But....

Regarding Moroni and our temple design. Firstly, our temple design is very similar to the one in Salta Argentina (pictured here) and Arkansas. And if you look through all of the more current temple renderings, there are many that are very similar to this. I see some are upset about the design but we need to remember we are from different cultures all over the world. We are so blessed Bakersfield is finally getting one. I'm going to put info about Moroni in the next post.
