"Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own." [Philippians 3:12]
The walk of a godly man is not a sprint toward flawlessness, but a steady, disciplined march in the direction of the Cross. Perfection is not the requirement; presence is. God does not ask for a sinless performance, but for a surrendered heart that shows up daily.
When we focus on perfection, we are often paralyzed by our own failures. But when we focus on progress, we recognize the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. Stay the course. Track your growth. Be present in your marriage, your home, and your church.
Do not be discouraged by the pace. A man who moves one inch closer to Christ today is further than the man who stands still. [Proverbs 4:25-27]
Keep moving. Keep pressing. God is in the progress.
