Today's Walk

Today's Walk Today's Walk has one purpose: to reach people for Christ. We do that through the presentation of the Today's Walk has one purpose: reach people for Christ.

We do that through the presentation of the gospel using mass media, including television and radio. Our goal is also to strengthen Christians in their daily walk with relevant and practical teaching from God's word. As the Broadcast Ministry of Valley Baptist Church, Today's Walk features the teaching and preaching of Dr. Roger Spradlin, co-pastor for the last 26 years of Valley Baptist in Bakersf

ield, California. Our broadcast ministry is not televangelism, it's simply a glimpse into our weekly worship services. Today's Walk Television is seen all across North America and around the world.

A little child comes with a trusting heart. Like the hymn writer who said, “Nothing in my hand I bring simply to the cross I cling”. That’s how we come to God. You can’t come any other way. There must be a point where we strip ourselves of all the baggage of the past, good or bad, all the philosophies of life that are jumbled in our mind and say what I need is forgiveness. I know that I’m a sinner and I come to Jesus. That’s how a child comes and that’s how we have to come.

When should we pray? During times of ease, times of peace, times of need, times of struggle? Of course! God wants to hear from you all the time. Pray today!

Revelation can be an intimidating and confusing book! There’s a tendency to read Revelation through the filter of current geopolitical events in search of a way to insert current military or cultural trends into the book, rather than letting the book speak for itself as it relates to both history and the future. Revelation is all about Jesus… it’s about the King and His kingdom!

Forgiveness. It’s a word or a concept that sadly seems all too foreign in most of our dialogue today. Forgiveness of others begins with an understanding and acceptance of God’s forgiveness. Forgiving others gives us the opportunity to further understand God’s grace, and God is always willing to forgive because that’s who He is!

Ultimately, God is in charge... and thankfully God loves us eternally. Where, or in whom, do you place your hope?

God stands ready to forgive - why?
Because His mercy endures forever

In Matthew 17, a father brings his demon possessed son to the disciples to deliver the boy. They fail to meet those expectations and sadly, could not cast the demon out. Our culture still brings people who need help to the church today. They bring the helpless, the hapless, the hopeless and lay them at the feet of the church and we are to minister to them in the name of an absentee Lord. Sadly, we will not touch the culture because of our religious agendas, our words, or our debates… The culture asks why can’t you cast it out? ONLY JESUS CAN DO THAT! There must be a sense of dependence upon Him.

A generous family who supports Today's Walk has stepped forward. They have pledged matching dollars for donations to broadcasting from now until the end of the year. This family wants to encourage others to give at this time.
