“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-11

Lord, I have learned at some point I’ve discovered that life resembles a battleground, rather than a playground. I face tests, tough times and attacks. Battle-time living requires vigilance, strategy and focus. You recognize false cultural ideas which challenge my values. I acknowledge the potential for my old nature to resist God’s ways. Thankfully, God equips me for this battle with spiritual armor, and he sent me a champion. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

Morning Prayer

“Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.” Matthew 10:38

Lord help me to realize that it is a worthy cause to lose my life for the cause of Christ. In following You, I will find the reason why You created me and my purpose for living. By being obedient to follow and serve You, may my legacy be lifted to all generations, as a humble and loyal servant. May I be worthy of receiving the reward you have for me on earth and in heaven. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

“You are tempted in the same way that everyone else is tempted. But God can be trusted not to let you be tempted too much, and he will show you how to escape from your temptations.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

Spiritual warfare is real, and the enemy is always ready and willing to tempt me to think and act outside the will of God. It may seem radical to run far from temptation, rather than falling prey to it. Running from darkness may seem radical to many, but I am called to live a radical faith. You will always make a way of escape for me. I will ultimately make the choice to either bite the tempting bait of Satan or escape the snare of the enemy and run to You. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

Morning Prayer

Tuesday, June 2, 2026

18 “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 5:18-21

When I surrender to the will of God, the Holy Spirit takes control and guides me. If there are conflicts in my relationships, a stagnant prayer life, struggles between my old self and new self, or little evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in my life requires me to spend more time in prayer. Please Lord, incline my heart to your Spirit. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.

Morning Prayer

Monday, June 1, 2026

“Out of all the people on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be his treasured possession.” Deuteronomy 14:2

My identity is under great attack every day as I am bombarded with lies of the enemy. Too many times, You see me surrender to the world to make me feel less than You made me to be. Help me to remember not to bow down to man-made idols or people to find my self-worth. God, You alone appraise my value and worth on the cross at Calvary. I am Your precious jewel, made in Your image. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen

Today was 5th Sunday and also Womens Missionary Society Sunday. The women of Cain did a phonemonal jobs running the service, the men carried the choir and out did themselves, then we received a word that blessed the body. Rev. Teri McClanahan brought an impactful message with lots of nuggets to chew on " Reconnect, Rebuild, Reunite" , Hebrews 10:19-25. Check out the live feed, you will not be disappointed.

Thank you to everyone that participated to make todays service wonderful and memorable for the body. It takes a village. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
