🚨 Ma*****na addiction is rising—and middle-aged Americans are being hit hard.

New federal data show that disordered ma*****na use among adults ages 40–50 has surged 97% since 2017. Daily use is also at record levels:

➡️ 11.8% of adults ages 19–30 use ma*****na nearly every day
➡️ 8.5% of adults ages 35–50 use nearly every day
➡️ At ages 27–28, nearly 1 in 7 use ma*****na almost daily

This is what happens when a potent, addictive drug is normalized, commercialized, and relentlessly marketed while its risks are minimized.

Ma*****na addiction can affect mental health, physical health, employment, relationships, parenting, and entire families. We must stop treating rising daily use as harmless progress.
