If you've been looking for an inclusive, welcoming religious community, we warmly invite you to join us!
On Sundays, one of our ministers will offer a sermon, or a lay person or local speaker will lead the service, which includes songs, stories, images, readings, and a chance to talk afterwards to explore the theme.
Together, we create a force more powerful than one person or one belief system. As Unitarian Universalists, we do not have to check our personal background and beliefs at the door: we join together on a journey that honors everywhere we’ve been before. Unitarian Universalists believe more than one thing. We think for ourselves, and reflect together, about important questions about:
- The Existence of a Higher Power
- Life and Death
- Sacred Texts
- Prayer and Spiritual Practices

UUFKC member and veteran Richard gave a presentation about the "Missing Man Table" for Memorial Day service. The humble tribute reminds us that some stories are unfinished as families long for answers and accountability. As Unitarian Universalists through our shared values we commit to human rights, the inherent worth and dignity of every person, and the compassionate pursuit of peace. While many UUs oppose specific wars or military interventions, they often emphasize that service members should not be demonized or treated as outcasts. The goal for UUs is the reduction of suffering and the resolution of conflicts that cause individuals to become POWs or MIAs. UUs focus on the humanity of those held, the suffering of their families, and the demand for justice and accountability in conflicts. UUs advocate for the humane treatment of all detainees and urge for a full accounting of missing personnel, reflecting the belief that the "worth and dignity of each person" extends to those held captive. There is also a recognized need to support families facing the pain, uncertainty, and hardship of waiting for news of loved ones who are missing or captive.
