Sunday, we got to honor Pastor Jesse and his family.

Pastor Jesse, thank you for the way you love this church and the people in it. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every conversation, every sermon that may or may not have ended when you said “I’m closing,” and every moment you’ve chosen to keep saying yes to what God has called you to do.

Thank you for leading us with a heart that honors where we’ve been while still believing there is so much more ahead. For making room for the Holy Spirit, even when that means the service schedule becomes more of a suggestion. And for reminding us that the presence of God matters more than anything we could ever build.

And to the Jernigan family, thank you for sharing so much of your lives with us. For the sacrifices we see, the ones we never will, and for graciously sharing Pastor Jesse with an entire church family that occasionally needs him all at once. Ministry is something the whole family carries, and we are grateful for each of you.

We love you, we honor you, and we’re grateful for you.

This month, we celebrate the shepherds who faithfully pour into our house!

Pastor Jesse and Sis. Jill, your lives are a testimony of what it means to lead with love, serve with humility, and remain faithful to the call of God. Thank you for the prayers prayed in secret, the sacrifices made behind the scenes, and the countless ways you love, lead, and believe in the people God has entrusted to you.

At Liberty Culture, we know that "freedom that feels like family" starts with leaders who carry the heart of the Father. We are grateful for the example you set, the legacy you are building, and the generations you are helping launch into their God-given purpose.

We honor you both and your entire family. Not just for what you do, but for who you are. We love you, we appreciate you, and we are so thankful God allowed you to lead this house.

Today, we celebrate more than a birthday. We celebrate the life, leadership, and legacy of a man who faithfully pours into others and leads with a heart for God and His people. Your faithfulness, your love for this house, and your commitment to following the leading of the Holy Spirit have made an impact that reaches far beyond what you may ever see.

On behalf of your Executive Board, Ministry Staff, and the entire Liberty Culture Church family, we want you to know how deeply you are loved, valued, and appreciated! We are grateful for the gift you are to your family and to this house, and we believe the Lord has so much more ahead.

Pastor, may this next year be marked by fresh oil, renewed strength, divine favor, and a greater measure of everything God has promised. We believe the best days are not behind us...they’re ahead of us!

Praise is more than a response to what God has already done. Sometimes praise is the invitation for Him to step into what you’re walking through right now.

Paul and Silas praised before the chains fell, before the prison doors opened, before they knew how the story would end. They praised at midnight. Your circumstances don’t get to decide whether God is worthy. Praise Him in the waiting. Praise Him under pressure. Praise Him when you have the answer and when you don’t.

I will bless the Lord at all times.

The “electricity” has been restored at Liberty Culture Church (because the “POWER” never went out…come on somebody). We’re so grateful for the opportunity to gather together tomorrow at 10am! May God bless and protect all of these hard-working crews restoring power to the region!

Tomorrow is a true Come As You Are Sunday. If the storm has left you without power, hot water, or a working shower, come worship with us anyway. (Pastor Appreciation will be postponed to next Sunday, Oct 18)

We know not everyone is back to normal, and that’s okay. If you can join us, we can’t wait to see you. If you can’t, we understand completely. We’re praying for you!

Let’s love Jesus, love people, and make the most of every opportunity to gather in His name and every opportunity to lend a helping hand to a neighbor.

There will be no Liberty Culture Kids or nursery. But we are excited to have all the kiddos together worshipping with us!

We don’t need old oil for a new season.

We can be thankful for what God has done without trying to live there forever. The hunger that brought us into His presence before should make us hungry to know Him here, too. Today. In this season.

We need fresh oil not to hold onto, and not just so we can say we had a good service, but so it can flow beyond us. Into our homes. Our schools. Our workplaces. Our families. The generation coming behind us.

“Lord, let me leave the residue of oil everywhere I go.”

Fresh oil for a fresh season.

The spirit of fear does not own this town!

This October, as many are preparing to celebrate fear, we feel a responsibility to speak. Not out of judgement or condemnation, but out of love, conviction, and a deep desire to see our community walk in freedom.

Fear is not our inheritance. Darkness is not our destiny. And what the world calls innocent entertainment isn’t always spiritually neutral.

There are doors we should not open. There are things we should not normalize. And there is a generation watching what we choose to celebrate.

So we’re taking a stand.
Not against people or our community.
But against the spirit of fear.

Jesus came to bring freedom, peace, power, and a sound mind. We believe it’s time for the Church to be bold enough to say so.

Watch this message from Pastor Jesse and hear why we believe fear doesn't get the final word. Jesus does.

You can't understand Kingdom principles trying to view them from the perspective of democracy. We've been border guards for too long, dividing people by politics and background. But Jesus didn't come to shame. He came to save. Let's extend grace at every threshold.
