It's Christmas shoebox time and Lifeline is planning on going to the border at Reynosa, Mexico and meeting the pastors who will come across the border to pick the shoe boxes up take them back to the churches for distribution to the children. At the Navajo Reservation, we will go to a church and leave the shoe boxes for distribution. Depending on Covid lockdowns, there may be interaction with the children. We are planning on taking Santa with us as well as shoeboxes, blessing bags, coats, blankets. Let us know, please, if you can help with prayer, going on the trip, driving, help with trip expenses. Call me please, Cindy Trulock 229-400-3598 and let me know how many shoeboxes you are planning on sending. We ask for a donation of $1.00 per box for trip expenses. Please do not put money in the box. If you are sending a check make it, make it out to Lifeline Ministries.

October Newsletter
EXODUS 14:12-14
Didn't we say to you in Egypt, "Leave us alone, let us serve the Egyptians? It would have been better to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert". Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid, stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring to you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Sometime we can not manage our situation. In that time it is good to be still and ask the Lord to take care of us. He is just waiting for us to ask for help. He is greater than any problem that we have. We have just returned from Mexico to do a project. Two of our team members were not able to go due to heath problems. We prayed and the Lord sent us help when we got down to Mexico. We were able to get the project completed with His help. We built pews for a church and covered the columns with wood on each side of the church. It was a miracle! Thank you for praying for our team and sending material money.

At this writing we have enough drivers for the trip to the Navaho reservation with shoeboxes and blessing bags. We still need help with trip expenses and need volunteers to help us load the trailers. The deadline for the shoeboxes is Dec 2 this year. It looks like we will have plenty of shoeboxes coming our way. Let is know if you need help in picking up your shoeboxes if you can not bring them to us. We expect shoeboxes from new churches. The children are looking for them. Everyone involved will receive a great blessing from the Lord! Remember to send a $1 or more for trip expenses for the team but don't put the money in the boxes. Contact Cindy Trulock if you have any questions 229-400-3598.

While in Monterrey we were asked to help with a new project (House of Prayer Life), a mission church. They are worshiping in a corner house in a project. They have around 35 children who have a service on Saturday with a meal. They also meet on Sunday for worship and have a Wednesday bible study. The pastor is a volunteer who works as a taxi driver (uber driver). He was recently in an auto accident in his car and was out of work for 4 months. He did not work but he made it to his church duties. Estimate for the project $2500. Urgent need is a bathroom. Only one in the house church (upstairs).

We could not do this ministry without your help. Thank you for your prayers and gifts.

June Newsletter
Matthew 7: 7-13

Ask and it will be given unto you, seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your father in heaven give good gifts to those who seek Him. So in everything, do unto others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Thank you for giving to our project for the mission church. We asked and you responded. Lifeline has been able to send the money for the materials to complete the parsonage. The materials were purchased this week. Pray for the need of a missions truck used to get materials and supplies to this church and other projects in the area. It is extremely expensive to have materials delivered to the mission church in the mountains.

The next Lifeline team will be going to China. They need 8 pews for that church. This church contiues to grow and they need more seating. Lifeline helped them remodel this church two years ago. The team will go down to do the project in the fall. Could you go to Mexico on this work team? We need materials and travel expenses for the team also.

Other projects:
China: Request for 8 more pews ($2500 material estimate)
Casa de Pan: Front room addition ($4000 material estimate)
Potter's House: Finish church ($1200 material estimate)
All projects are in Mexico in King of Kings District near Monterrey.

April Newsletter
1 John 3:16-19

This is how we know what love is; Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity for them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts to rest in His presence.

When we visit Mexico (Or the Navajo reservation) our teams are touched with the way that the pastors are working with the people. They have little but share what they have with the people. We always come home more determined to help them. We are blessed to have the privilege to be able to go and do a project to help a local church. They are growing the kingdom by showing love to people. We are told that people are coming to church and God is meeting their needs. Many are not invited by the people of the church but are coming for a particular need. When God meets the need they are staying and becoming part of the church family.

We are looking forward to the visit of Samuel Garcia and his wife Kareny later in April. Samuel will give a missions report at the South GA Men's Retreat at Epworth by the Sea. On Sunday evening he will present an award to the family of Bill McCoy at the South Central District Rally. Please pray for Samuel and Kareny as drive up to South GA to be with us. Please note that the money for the church built in honor of Bill McCoy came from the S GA Conference UMM.

We did reach our goal for the car and the pastor in Reynosa has received the check from Lifeline. May God bless everyone for helping by sending contributions. Remember our goal was $3500.

Projects:
Potters House: We still need around $1200 for materials to add a bathroom and Sunday school petitions.
Belen: One additional room has been added to this home church. Another room is needed to complete it.

February Newsletter
Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Have you noticed that people are more negative than ever? They seem to be opposed to everything they hear. Our friends in the church are not immune to this way of thinking. Just a reminder to all of us that we are called to be positive. God has not changed. He still has a plan for each of our lives. We are going to continue to serve Him in this ministry. Let us continue to love everyone but let’s serve the Lord. In other words do not give up continuing to do what the Lord has called each one of us to do.

We are close to our goal for a car for a pastor in Mexico. We just need $700 to reach it. Think about what it is like to work as a pastor without a car. We would like to help them with this need. Thanks to all who have helped with this project.

March 4-9-2019. We are planning to send a team to work on the House of Bread project. The local workers will start on the foundation work for the project next week. Our team will drive down on Mar 3 and others will go down by air to meet the team in McAllen. Please pray for this team.

Potter's House: Our team will do work at this church as well. We have received some money to start the project. We still need material money for the project. We have received $200 but we need $1500.

We could not do this ministry without your help. Thank you for your prayers and gifts.

January 2019 Newsletter
1 Peter 4: 7-10
The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.

Lifeline just sent blankets, clothes, and sewing material to West Virginia with Henry Miller. This happened just a few days before Christmas. We are able to receive more of these items if you have something you would like to send to someone in need. In early December we sent coats, blankets and clothes in addition to the shoeboxes that went to the Navajo reservation. We do the Navajo shoeboxes in partnership with Charles and Mary Ella Whatley (Native American Ministries). That trip went well. Thanks for the prayers that went along with the team. Our second trailer and truck came via Cairo First UMC. It was a miracle that we received this help. Only one day before the trip the truck and driver was located. We would have taken all the shoeboxes but sent the coats, blankets and clothes (also book bags) later if God had not provided. Praise the one who does provide for His children!
Projects update:
We have received $2800 of the $3500 goal for a vehicle for a pastor in Reynosa. Thanks to you we will be able to send this money to them to purchase a car. This family does not have a vehicle at this time and is borrowing a car to get the work of the church done. We are also looking for a donation of another car for a pastor in Monterrey. We have been asked to help with both situations. Just let us know if you can help.
Belen: House of Bread project. We have received the money for materials for the expansion of this church at Juarez (Near Monterrey). This is a house church that is very active with young people. The project adds a large room on the back of the house and another on the front of the house. Estimate of the materials is $3400. We would like to send a team to begin this project at the end of February. Please let us know if you can be a part of the team. The walls will be concrete and the Lifeline team will help with the metal roof. There is only one bathroom in this building and we will also construct another one.
China: There is a need for electrical materials for the addition on this church we helped with last year. The estimate is $400 and the work can be done by a local team from that area. We will send the money soon and let you know when the team completes this project. China is the town located halfway between Monterrey and Reynosa.
Potter's House: We have learned that another $1500 is needed for materials to complete the interior of this building. A second bathroom is needed and wall petitions are needed for Sunday school rooms. We will send a team to complete this work later this year. Please let us know if you can go on this team or help with the materials for this project. This church is in a neighborhood near Guadalupe.
