Today at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes across the country are encouraged to join the bishops in this celebration.

ART EXHIBITION
October 31, 2026 | Savannah Convention Center
The Cause of the Georgia Martyrs and the Diocese of Savannah seek entries for a gallery-style exhibition to be displayed at the Beatification liturgy of Venerable Servants of God Pedro de Corpa and Companions. Images should be depictions of or inspired by the Georgia Martyrs. Previously created/exhibited artworks may be submitted, provided the artist has permission to share or reuse. There is no entry fee; artists may enter up to three submissions. Artists under 18 years of age may apply for consideration in the Children's Exhibit (ages 12 and under) and Youth Exhibit (ages 13–17).

Accepted Mediums
Painting, illustration, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, mosaic, stained glass, digital artwork, photography, animation, textiles, quilting, weaving, collage, etc. Generative AI is prohibited.

ART COMPETITION
The Cause of the Georgia Martyrs and the Diocese of Savannah seek to offer fine artists an opportunity to create the official Beatification image of Venerable Servants of God Pedro de Corpa and Companions. This image will be used on promotional items and in print and digital media before and after the Beatification liturgy on October 31, 2026. The chosen artist will receive a $5,000 honorarium. Georgia Martyrs Beatification
The beatification of the Venerable Servants of God Pedro de Corpa and his Four Companions – commonly known as the Georgia Martyrs – will take place on All Hallows Eve (October 31) 2026 in Savannah, GA. Cardinal Frank Leo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto, will represent the Holy Father as Papal Legate and preside over the beatification liturgy. Out of the handful of beatifications to occur on American soil, this will be the first in Georgia and the first in the South. Details regarding the ceremony and associated events are forthcoming.

Vocatio Dei, for rising 7th grade through 10th grade boys, will be June 21–24. 11th and 12th grade boys can apply to be junior counselors at Vocatio Dei. Call to Holiness, for rising 7th grade through graduating senior girls, will be June 24–27. Senior counselors – college-aged young adult men and women – are needed for both camps. The camps will be at George Primitive Baptist Camp in Claxton.
