Bowen Baptist Association

Bowen Baptist Association We have 39 Southern Baptist churches in our association. These churches are located throughout Decatur, Seminole, Miller, and Baker counties.

The Bowen Baptist Association's purpose is for our churches to choose to unite together and support one another to be healthy Kingdom churches through ministry, evangelism, discipleship, mission giving, and going to the uttermost parts of the world.

What a tremendously night of men’s worship on Thursday, Aug. 20th at Brinson Baptist Church in the sweet little town of Brinson, GA! Bro. Steve Novak is our Bowen Baptist Association’s Men and Lads Ministry and does an amazing job.

Thanks to Brinson and Iron City Baptist Churches’ Men’s Mjnistries for joining forces with a tremendous meal, then worship! Bro. Alan Sims led us in a rousing song, “Victory in Jesus”, and Rev. Landon Huntsinger blessed the Lord by guitar and solos!

Bro. Neil Collier from Bethel Association preached a strong message from 1 Samuel 2:18. Our most important duty is to minister unto the Lord.

Thank you Rev. Mike Beam and Rev. Robert Crapps for being faithful pastors to Iron City and Brinson!

Thank you, Bowen, for the outpouring of Baxley Georgia Baptist Children’s Home supplies. We had a tremendous time loading the trailer this morning. We give thanks for all the volunteers who came to load the trailer and truck. On top of the supplies was about $1,500.00 worth of cash, checks, and WalMart cards. The total is uncertain as some gift envelopes were sealed. Bless the Lord!!

Thanks to all the volunteers who made the 2026 Migrant Program Dental Bus that Bowen sponsors each June for six nights. Thanks especially to Terry and Michelle Bell for taking the lead each night due to my limited capacity. Great thanks to all our Bowen churches and a Miller County High School club for creating the 600+ Personal Care Bags that were used as a witness opportunity each night.
