Nipponzan Myohoji Peace Walk

Nipponzan Myohoji Peace Walk This annual peace walk is an opportunity for all people to walk and learn together in a non-violent, spiritually motivated action to ensure a safer future.

Peace walkers will average about 15 miles per day with rest periods along the way. The walk is open to all who are sincere in extinguishing the violent fire of nuclear annihilation. Evenings offer social time, symposiums, movies and conversation. We welcome any contributions for food, water, accommodations…

2021 Nipponzan Miyohoji PEACE WALK

Please join the monks of the Bainbridge Island Nipponzan Miyohoji Temple for the 2021 Peace Walk for Nuclear-Free World in the Pacific Northwest: “Stop Global Warming”.

The walk will begin in Oregon and make its up into Washington, and will end at Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action in time to participate in the remembrance of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The annual walk is an opportunity to bring together a diverse community of people to walk together in a meditative witness for a better world for all. All are welcome to participate. You may join for any portion, or all, of the walk, even just part of a day. There will be a support vehicle carrying food and water, and to carry personal belongings.
