***SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT***

Tomorrow, September 6th, Mi Madre’s Tacos WILL NOT be in Badger.

Thankfully Vonnie's Kitchen has stepped in and will be here in Badger.

This Sunday is set to be the last Sunday of our 2026 Food Truck Season.

(Of course weather can change things)

So today as I was strolling through my personal FB page a “suggested” post popped up. It was a meme from a hyper-charismatic church in Arizona.

The meme said:

“God DOES NOT determine my capacity. I determine my capacity and God fills it.”

I had to stop and read it multiple times to make sure I read it correctly. I bet you did too.

So here is my problem…..Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) clearly states “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

-We are His workmanship
-We are created by Him for purpose
-He made all the necessary preparations

Simply put God created us with the CAPACITY to fulfill His purpose for us and through us before our mommies and daddies shared a milkshake with 2 straws.

All the CAPACITY I need is already present within me. He has already poured out His Spirit on me and in me. What I determine is not my CAPACITY but how I use what He has prepared for me.

The danger…..

When we subscribe to the view found in the meme, we assign a form of “lordship” to ourselves (the little g god teaching) and God becomes subject to our desires. It strips God of His sovereignty.

“The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom” Proverbs 9:10

Wisdom recognizes the God alone is sovereign. He has already created in me all that I need to fulfill His purpose.

There is a special peace in knowing that God has already given me the capacity to fulfill purpose.

Tear the Roof Off 8/30/2026

***TODAY***

Today is our Tear the Roof Off Service. We will haver communion and an intentional time of prayer and reflection.

Following the 1015am service we will also have our monthly Fellowship Meal. Lowell and Jennifer are bringing smoked Pulled Pork (YUM) and Pastor Dave is bringing his Great Grandfather's Hot German Potato Salad (YUM).

Come prepared to be blessed Spirit, Soul, and Body.

Today Pastor Dave will be joining worship at Roselund Lutheran Parish as part of his "Pilgrimage Project."

Part of the NLA Leadership Team will be sharing what God has placed on their heart at our regularly scheduled service.

With the possibility of sensitive personal testimony, we WILL NOT be broadcasting or recording the service today. However we strongly encourage you to be in the house today.
