There is a rich history of singing hymns in this congregation. We believe that Christian worship should be shaped not by spectacle or performance, but by the ordinary means God has given to His church.

Because of this, our worship is simple and reverent. We believe the congregation itself is the choir. Accompanied by piano and joined together in one voice. We do not sing to be entertained, but to glorify God and encourage one another in the faith.

We are thankful for the rich heritage of hymnody handed down through the church and for the timeless truths these songs continue to teach and help us proclaim each Lord’s Day.

This article from Ligonier, “Pay Attention to What You’re Singing,” reflects well the importance of thoughtful, doctrinally rich congregational worship.

A. We are made partakers of the redemption purchased by Christ, by the effectual application of it to us by his Holy Spirit.

Q. How doth the Spirit apply to us the redemption purchased by Christ?
A. The Spirit applies to us the redemption purchased by Christ, by working faith in us, and thereby uniting us to Christ in our effectual calling.
