The Apostle Paul addressed his friends as ‘Dear Beloved’, today I address my friends, my family, and my international bible students as “My beloved”. I do so because no matter how far apart we are or how great a separation there is, my heart is with you. Whether you are in Michigan, Texas, Florida, California, or anywhere in the world, you are not forgotten. My brothers and sisters in Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, India, and Malaysia, I have not forgotten your faces and you remain in my prayers. My Beloved, my love cannot compare to the love of our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ in whom we have our hope!
Scripture teaches us about our relationship with Jesus Christ: “In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” (Ephesians 3:12) and we know “he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. (Hebrews 7:25)
“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, (remember the curtain in the temple covering the holy of holies was torn from top to bottom at the crucifixion) and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings…” (Hebrews 10:19-22)
So, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
For “Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” (1 Peter 2:10)
Brothers and sisters, it is my prayer that you fully comprehend how much our Father values you and that these scripture illustrations of hope encourage you in your life and ministry.
