The Sagittarius Blue Moon rises on May 31, 2026, and after it passes, there will not be another monthly Blue Moon until December 2028.

For witches, rare moons have always been powerful moments for charging tools, casting spells, divination, manifestation, and creating Moon Water.

Moon Water is one of the simplest and most versatile magical tools in witchcraft. It is created by placing a jar, bowl, or bottle of water beneath the Moon’s light overnight. Many witches place their water on a windowsill, altar, garden wall, or outdoor space where it can absorb the energy of the lunar phase.

Before placing the water beneath the Moon, hold the container in your hands and speak your intention aloud. Sagittarius energy responds strongly to spoken words, vision, freedom, wisdom, spiritual growth, travel, abundance, and expansion.

As the Blue Moon shines overhead, imagine the water becoming infused with that energy.

By morning, your Moon Water is ready to use.

A few drops can be added to ritual baths for cleansing and spiritual renewal. It can be used to cleanse crystals, anoint candles before spellwork, dress altar tools, bless talismans, charge sigils, or sprinkle around your home for protection and positive energy.

Many witches add Blue Moon Water to floor washes, manifestation jars, abundance workings, road opening spells, and divination rituals. Some place a small amount on their wrists before meditation, tarot readings, scrying, or spirit communication to strengthen intuitive connection.

You can also use it to water magical plants, herbs, and flowers connected to your practice, symbolically feeding your intentions back into the earth.

This is a Sagittarius Blue Moon, focus your intentions on expansion, truth, opportunity, confidence, freedom, spiritual development, wisdom, and future goals.

Every time you use the water in the months ahead, you reconnect with the energy of this rare lunar event.

The Moon will set.

The night will pass.

The magic you capture from it can remain on your altar long after the Blue Moon becomes memory.

Tonight, a slender crescent Moon will appear nestled right between two standout planets, super-bright Venus and Jupiter.

Catch this lineup low in the western sky just after the sun dips below the horizon. The whole group will disappear by around midnight.

But here’s the best part: keep following Venus and Jupiter because they’re steadily drawing nearer every night. By June 8th and 9th they’ll be amazingly close. It’s going to be an unforgettable view!

Who’s heading outside tonight to check it out? Drop a 🌟 below if you spot them and tell us what you think! ✨

May 15th: Mercuralia.
Mercury is the god of commerce, abundance, the arts, trade, travelers, grain trading, and merchants. It is thought that all good things are sent by him. He is the son of Maia and Jupiter, and became associated with Hermes after the Romans conquered Greece. He was one of the most popular gods in Britain and Gaul. His festival was held on May 15th.

Mercury is probably not one of the Roman gods appropriated from the Etruscans, nor one of the earliest gods since he did not have a flamen.

The emerald is Mercury's sacred stone. He was thought by the early Italians to be the father of Faunus. He is the father of the Lares Compitales by Lara, and sometimes considered to be the husband of Facundia.

In art, Mercury appears as a man wearing winged boots or sandals, a winged hat, and carrying a caudecus. He is often accompanied by a rooster, a ram, a goat, or a tortoise. In Celtic-inspired areas of the Empire, Mercury was sometimes shown as having three faces, three heads, or three ph**li.

Mercury Artaios: Mercury associated with bears and hunting worshipped in Gaul.
Mercury Moccus: Mercury worshipped in Gaul, associated with boar hunting.
