A word of thanksgiving.
This past Sunday, in my mind, was an example of what church should be.

Certainly not talking about my preaching, except to say there was an abundance of liberty to preach the WORD.

I am talking about the anointing on the services, Sunday School and morning worship.

Not only was there an anointing to deliver the WORD in both services but there was an anointing to hear and receive the WORD.

Stacy Williamson, who teaches Sunday School, is always prepared, and he was certainly under the anointing Sunday.

My boast is for the LORD and HIS presence.

Giving thanks for a wonderful day in the LORD’S HOUSE yesterday.

Praying that Opine will continually lay hold of being the Loving Church that GOD intends for us to be.

Yes, you can be loving, while holding to the standards of righteousness and holiness given us in GOD’S WORD.

Are we the largest church in Alabama?
We aren’t even the largest in our county.
Let’s be honest, we are not the largest church in our city. And if there was another church on our road, we probably would not be the largest on our road.

Oh but let me tell you what we do have.
We have a church that welcomes the HOLY SPIRIT.
A church that is not bickering.
A church that prays for the sick.
A church that is not trying to make something happen.

We are small in number and high in age.
But I am not ashamed or embarrassed to extend to you an invitation to join us in worship.

I am well aware that I must not think more highly of myself than I ought. I am equally aware, beware when you think you stand, lest you fall.

Neither am I comparing myself to any other church, but with all this said, GOD has HIS hand on Opine Assembly of God.

We may not be the church for you but we are a church that GOD is pleased with and a church HE is blessing.

Am I prejudice because I’m the pastor?
Probably.

Prejudice or not, I give all glory to GOD for blessing Opine Assembly of God.

Dorothy Thornton was in church last Sunday. Like always she was smiling and greeting everyone.

Who would have known, the very next day she would leave this world and enter her eternal home.

The one thing certain about life is it’s uncertainty.

Like I was told, “if you stay ready, you will be ready.”

Dorothy was ready.

Coming to Opine Assembly of GOD will not get you to Heaven but I promise we will point you to the ONE who will get you to Heaven.

HIS NAME IS JESUS, THE SON OF GOD.

I am so excited about the service tomorrow!!!
I’m believing GOD will do a mighty work among HIS people.

Brother Stacy will be teaching at 10:00
Stacy is an outstanding teacher who follows the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Then morning service at 11:00 am.
If you are in the area, tomorrow will be a great day to visit.
