Heaven is rejoicing, and so are we! Rejoice with us as we have a new sister! Tyanne was baptized into Christ for the remission of her sins, and to be added to the Lord's church.

Elder Highlight!

I want to take a moment to express the appreciation we feel at the Briar church of Christ for our elders. This week, I want to highlight a sermon preached by one of our elders, Jack Bryant. Jack delivered an excellent sermon from Godโ€™s Word, reminding us to pursue righteousness and flee the things of the flesh.

Interestingly, this exhortation appears in both of Paulโ€™s letters to Timothy. We have a new brother!

Yesterday morning, when Howard woke up, sin was causing him to be guilty (Leviticus 5:17), dirty (Isaiah 64:6), sick (Psalm 38:3), and separated from God (Isaiah 59:2), but last night he rested innocent, clean, healed, and close to our Savior. God is good! Praise Him!

Last month, Clayton became our brother in Christ! Please take a moment to pray for him, and for usโ€”that we may always be the brethren that our new converts need.

"For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You." - Psalm 86:5

Note: That's one of our deacons, Aaron Bradberry, standing behind Clayton. Aaron led Clayton through a Bible study, and it resulted in God saving our new brother. We are so thankful at Briar to have evangelistic deacons!

๐ŸŒŸ A Joyful New Chapter at Briar Church of Christ! ๐ŸŒŸ

We are delighted to announce and welcome our new Gospel Preacher, Brother Eric Tipton, and his wife Lizzie, to the Briar Church of Christ family!

Brother Tipton is a recent graduate of the Brown Trail School of Preaching, and he has already begun the good work among us with a heart full of truth and a passion for souls. We are grateful for his desire to be with us, and we look forward to growing together in faith and fellowship.
