Acts 2:38,39
Then, Peter said unto them, repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promise is unto you and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call?

We live in a world that constantly calls for our attention. Every notification, opportunity, and distraction promises immediate satisfaction. Yet the things we desire most; deep faith, meaningful relationships, lasting joy, and spiritual growth are rarely built overnight.

Paul reminds us in 1 Timothy 4:7 to "discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness." Discipline isn't about punishment or perfection. It's about choosing what matters most over what feels best in the moment.

Every time we open God's Word instead of scrolling, choose forgiveness instead of bitterness, or make time for prayer when life feels busy, we're investing in the women God is shaping us to become.

The truth is that our daily choices are forming us. Small acts of faithfulness may not feel significant today, but over time they become the foundation of a life rooted in Christ.

This week, ask yourself: What is one small choice I can make today that aligns with who God is calling me to be?

The path of godliness isn't always the easiest, but it always leads somewhere beautiful.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Hebrews 12:14 states: "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord" (NIV). This verse emphasizes two core aspects of the Christian life: pursuing harmonious relationships and striving for the purity required to stand in God's presence.Breakdown of the Verse"Pursue peace with all people...": The Greek word used implies an active, intentional, and urgent chase. Believers are instructed to do everything reasonably in their power to maintain harmony and avoid unnecessary conflict with others."...and holiness": This refers to consecration—being set apart for God's purposes. It represents the ongoing process of moral and spiritual transformation that should naturally characterize a believer's life."...without which no one will see the Lord": This is a solemn reminder of God's perfect righteousness. The theological consensus is that no one can stand in the pure presence of a holy God while clinging to sin.Theological ContextWhile the verse commands believers to "make every effort" in these areas, orthodox Christian teaching maintains that this does not mean salvation is earned through good behavior. Instead, the holiness required to be in God's presence is made possible through faith in Christ's atoning sacrifice, with holy living acting as the natural, Spirit-led response to that grace.

Summer has a way of inviting us to breathe a little deeper, slow down a little more, and remember what really matters.

As we kick off our Summer I can’t think of a better reminder than this: joy was never meant to depend on having a perfect life. Real joy is found in the presence of God — even in imperfect, messy, ordinary days.

Sometimes joy looks like singing in the car with the windows down. Sometimes it looks like tears in church. Sometimes it’s gathering with people who remind you that you’re not alone.

And friend, you do not have to have it all together to experience God this summer.

Psalm 42 reminds us: “Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him.”

That word yet matters.

Even in hard seasons.
Even in uncertainty.
Even when life feels heavy.

This summer, our prayer is simple: that you would rediscover the joy, freedom, and hope found in God’s presence. We do this one small moment at a time.

We’re so glad you’re here for the journey.

Let us lift each other up in prayer, that this experience will be a new and exciting chapter in our lives, one that aligns perfectly with the Word of God. If you feel led to participate in this baptism, please reach out to us; we will need to collect some information for the certificate that you will receive that day. We are seeking a guitar player and others to come out and be a part of this unforgettable moment.
