📣📣New Sermon Series Starts Sunday📣📣
“Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head,” Jesus says. There is a common theme in the scriptures that feels easy to overlook. The great leaders of the faith–from Abraham and Isaac to Moses to the exiled Israelites to Jesus and later Paul–were all nomads. In a literal sense or a spiritual sense, our examples of faith knew something about being on the move, without a clear home or homeland. Pastor Katie likes to say that when we started Revive UMC, we became homeless for Jesus. The truth is more that, like the Patriarchs and Jesus himself, we have been nomads for Jesus. For seven weeks, we will see what we can learn from the nomadic lives of the great people of faith and strive to apply it to our own time and place.
