Payment, Not Permission
What part of Mal. 3:6, Heb. 13:8, James 1:17, Ps. 102:27 and Num. 5:13, which state the unchanging nature, person and character of God and Jesus, do people not understand?
Grace is a payment by the blood of Jesus for our sins, not permission to go on sinning. Paul said in Gal. 5:13, the freedom we have in Christ, is not a freedom or license to sin; period.
The same loving God who will reward and bless us for our obedience is the same God who will judge us for our disobedience. God never has and never will turn a blind eye from unrepentant sin. As the Bible still declares, be sure our sins will find us out.
A large number are falling from the Faith due to becoming blind to the Truth. More and more Preachers are becoming motivators of comfort, rather than proclaimers of the Truth. At this same time, fewer Christians are reading their Bibles.
God’s wonderful grace that saves us also transforms us to become more like Jesus. Yes God will save us as we are, BUT He will not leave us that way. From the moment of salvation, spiritual transformation begins. Let me make this plain, if there has not been a transformation then there is no evidence of salvation.
God gave us His Holy Spirit to help us, teach us, strengthen us, and correct us, so that we do not have any excuses. Please get this; the same God that saves us, now lives in us to help us walk out our salvation. Then someone thinks they can continue in habitual sin and God is going to tolerate that. They have been greatly deceived.
A truly Born Again Believer does not desire to see how much sin they can get away with. Their desire is to please God and honor the sacrifice of Jesus by living in obedience to God’s Word with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Nuff Said and Amen
