NCYC 2025 ✝️ I AM | YO SOY

Our pilgrimage group, made up of 17 students, 4 chaperones, and Father Jim, set off for Indianapolis on Wednesday morning. Here are some highlights from our experiences thus far.

VIRTUS TRAINING UPDATE--

It is an archdiocese requirement that anyone that works with children or vulnerable adults (e.g., taking communion to community members) has to be VIRTUS trained. We need to be VIRTUS trained prior to participating in relevant activities, such as Sunday School, Faith Formation, Religious Ed, driving kids to religious functions, etc. This also impacts students that want to continue to participate in Catholic Heartwork Camp that will be 18 during a CHWC event.

A local VIRTUS training has been arranged for July 19th at 9:00 a.m. at SPPS in Seneca (in the school). With parent permission, anyone over age 16 can participate in this training.

To register, please go to www.virtusonline.org. Click on FIRST TIME REGISTRANT and begin the registration process. You will need to select Kansas City, KS (Archdiocese) as your organization. You will then create a User ID & Password that you will need to remember. Make sure that you select the July 19th SPPS Training as your location for VIRTUS training.

If you would like to participate in this training, please text/call Erika (785-336-1009) so that she can add you to the list of participants and be looking for your name in the VIRTUS system (following your sign-up). If you are unsure if you have had the training or if you have any questions about VIRTUS trainings, please contact Erika.

We still have 2 ferns and 1 hanging basket left that we really would like to sell! If anyone would be interested in these, please let Erika know.

**If you happened to be at the first communion mass in Axtell last weekend, we had flowers that got into the wrong vehicle. If you have a red SUV with an Axtell license plate on the front of your vehicle, please check the back of your vehicle to see if there are two plants in there. **💐
