I attended a Cross Racial/ Cross Cultural training event this week and one of the participants said that during this time, even though he has ZOOM meetings with different people including his congregation, he said that it is not the same and that times he feels lonely. And I think that is true of many people, especially since we were forced into a completely digital age. It would be one thing if we would have been able to accepted it slowly, but from one day to the next, literally, we were told that we could no longer have any contact with anyone outside of our home. It felt like all of a sudden, we had no one. And that has been the common feeling for many people. Loneliness, even when we have people there for us only a phone call away, we still fell alone.
