Good afternoon all. Its hard to believe Sunday has come around already. I pray that your week has been full of God's presence. There has been some questions about the revival coming in September. It will be held at Gospel of Grace Church. This was already in the works when we decided to rent the building. We are very happy that the Revival is going to be held in Avon and I personally look forward to going and listening to the Word of God. Please join in and let's see what God wants to do. As always Gospel of Grace has worship services on Sunday at 10:45 and would love to see you come out and join in God's fellowship. On Thursday evening, we will be doing a Study Group on what the Global Methodist Church believe in. That begins at 7:00 p.m. All are invited. Hope to see you soon. God Bless, Pastor Bertie Midgett

📖 Scripture Sunday

As General Conference draws near, many of us are carrying heavy workloads and feeling the pressure. It's often in these moments that our patience is tested.

Paul reminds us that discipleship is about how we treat one another and holiness is lived out in our relationships. We honor those who labor beside us, extend grace when stress is high, and choose peace over frustration.

This week, thank a colleague, assume the best, and offer grace freely. These simple acts are powerful witnesses to the love of Christ.

Gracious Lord, help us to honor those who serve beside us. Fill us with grace, patience, and peace so that our words and actions reflect Christ in every interaction. Amen. 🙏

Last week, we invited you to reflect on who "YOU" say Jesus is. This week, let's consider what comes next.

Recognizing Jesus as Lord is the beginning of the journey, not the destination. In this passage, Paul reminds us about the heart of discipleship; not simply believing in Christ, but growing to become more like Him every day.

As you go about your week, ask yourself: Do my words and actions reflect Jesus? Am I known for gratitude, grace, kindness, patience, and love? How am I helping others see Christ through the way I live?

Faith isn't just something we confess, it's something we practice.

🙏 Gracious Lord, give us the strength and perseverance to walk faithfully with You each day, regardless of our circumstances. Continue to shape us into the likeness of Christ so that our words, actions, and lives reflect Your love to the world. Amen.
