Please say a prayer for the family and friends for peace and comfort in this hour of their needs. His Father Leon Williams his served on the board at Fort Kissimmee Cemetery Association for many years

Robert Williams, 85

Robert Williams, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by family. Born to Oveta and Leon Williams, Robert was a man of quiet strength, deep loyalty and unwavering love.

Robert was married to the love of his life, Laverne Williams, for 60 beautiful years. Together they built a family rooted in faith, commitment, and joy. He was a proud father of three, and his legacy continues through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom adored him and cherished his wisdom, humor, and gentle spirit.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Robert retired from Florida Power & Light (FPL) after more than 30 years of devoted service. In his younger years, he found his greatest enjoyment hunting, fishing, woodworking, photography and cheering on his Miami Dolphins every chance he got. He also spent time volunteering for the Sheriff’s Auxiliary Department. Later in life you could find him traveling or singing karaoke around Okeechobee.

Robert was a faithful member of Oakview Baptist Church, where he worshipped, served and formed lasting friendships throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oveta and Leon Williams and his loving wife, Laverne Williams. Their reunion in Heaven brings comfort to the family he leaves behind.

He is survived by his son, Bryan Williams; daughters, Stephanie Larson (John) and Daphanie Linville (Jeff); nine grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.

Robert's life was a testimony of love, loyalty and faith. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

Prayers on wings going up for the family and friends. You will be missed by all the campers at Ft. Kissimmee Cemetery.. your smile and laughter. RIP

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandy Bostwick, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, who left us on October 8, 2025. Sandy's love for life radiated through her many passions, including fishing, home improvement projects and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Secrecy Linder and Nellie Booth; brothers, Arthur and Fred Booth; and sister, Ruthanne Kernich.

Sandy found immense joy in her role as a Crossing Guard for the City Police Department, where she dedicated herself to ensuring the safety and well-being of children in her community.

In addition to her work, Sandy loved camping every year at Fort Kissimmee, where she created lifelong memories with her family. Her adventurous spirit also led her to become a boat captain and fishing guide, and she cherished every moment spent on the lake.

Sandy is survived by her twin sons, Steven and Scott Bostwick, she took pride in her five beautiful grandchildren, Hanna, Keirstin, Lauren, Brenden, and Ella Bostwick, who brought her immeasurable happiness; brother, Warren Booth; sister, Cindy Howell; and her sister-in-law, Janet Booth.

Sandy's love and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit will live on in the memories she created with her family and friends, and she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Okeechobee in Sandy’s memory.

Rest in peace, Sandy. Your love and light will always be remembered.

Meet the Angel Oak Tree

Estimated to be around 1,400 years old, this majestic Southern live oak in Charleston, South Carolina, is a living witness to history. Its longest limb stretches 89 feet, and its canopy spans an incredible 160 feet. Surviving hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and centuries of change — it’s a true natural wonder.
