✨A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR✨

"It’s hard to believe how quickly this year is already flying by! We wanted to share a quick update on what God is doing through Options Pregnancy Center.

Right now, we are serving 111 moms and dads in our program, representing 72 children. What a blessing it is to have the opportunity to teach, support, and equip these parents as they care for their little ones. As the need has grown, so has our team. We now have 20 dedicated staff members and volunteers faithfully walking alongside these families.

God’s provision and grace continue to be more than sufficient, and we are so grateful for His steady hand over this ministry.

This year, Spring Fest will help support an exciting next step for our Ava location. The top floor of our building (2,700 square feet) is ready to be renovated. While we have received grants toward construction, additional funding is needed to complete the repairs and bring the space up to code. Our vision is to create a space where we can hold fatherhood and motherhood classes, staff gatherings, and even community meetings.

We are excited to see how God will continue to work and provide as this vision takes shape.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Because of your support, we are able to continue loving and serving families in our community. If there is ever anything we can pray with you about, please let us know." – Mary Seewald 🤍

Friends, in today’s Gospel (Matthew 5:43–48), Jesus commands us to love our enemies.

The first reason we love our enemies is because this is the best way to test the quality of our love. Love is not primarily an emotion but an act of the will. It is willing the good of the other as other.

A second reason to love your enemies is that they tell you about yourself. There is a very good chance that the people who most bother you are those who most reveal to you unsavory truths about yourself.

Third, perhaps the person you consider your enemy is actually pointing out to you the inadequacy of your own life. Maybe he is right and good, and it’s you who are off-center. Could it be that your enemy is in fact a kind of saint who is indirectly indicating your own weakness and lack of moral courage?

A final reason to love your enemies: You might win them back.

With Ash Wednesday tomorrow, let us make a renewed effort to set aside the idle distractions that so often fill our days, and instead devote our time to prayer and deeper conversation with God. Use this sacred season for silence, listening more attentively to the voice of the Lord. Meditate on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary, visit Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, commit yourselves to regular confession and daily examinations of conscience, and prepare your hearts for the triumph of the Cross and the glory of Christ’s Resurrection.

In our busy and fast-paced world, we need now more than ever extended periods of stillness and spiritual focus, so that we may hear more clearly the voice of God.
