During our October 8th WMU meeting, we'll be putting together Birthday Cake kits. If you would like to provide any of the items, I have them shown below. Note, I have a 12-pack of Sprite, so no one needs to bring them.

For each kit, we will use: 13 x 9 aluminum cake pan with lid, one box cake mix (any flavor), one can of icing (any flavor), and one set of birthday candles. I have the soda already, so no one needs to bring that.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BRING ANYTHING TO PARTICIPATE! We will make as many kits as we can that night and save extras for another time.

We will write a note of encouragement for each kit as well.

WMU Executive Committee Mtg will be held Sunday evening, Aug 6 at 6 PM. Executive Committee is made up of the WMU Officers as well as Mission Group Leaders and Circle Leaders.

Reminders are going out in the mail tomorrow, but wanted to post as well. Thanks for your service to our WMU!

For the month of May -- the WMU is sponsoring a Ministry Project for Robert and Kim Beasley.

If you are led and are able, please consider blessing them financially as Robert continues his stay in the hospital and Kim is unable to be there with him due to all of the restrictions in place at this time.

You may send blessings directly to them at their home address (please check the church directory)

or if you wish you may mail to the church
(please indicate that it is for the Beasley family)

This will continue through the month of May as we show love and support to them and their family during this difficult time. As always, your prayers are also coveted as well.

Executive Committee -- please remember that we are meeting THIS Sunday, August 11 at 6 pm -- this will include Circle Chairs, Mission Leaders for all groups, and all WMU Officers. This is going to be a year of great change and growth! Please come prepared to help make this happen!

Please remember to join us tomorrow night (Wednesday, Aug 30) as the WMU sponsors a "Missions Night" at church. We will be packing dresses and shirt/short sets to go to Rwanda. There will be something for everyone to do! Hope you can come. 7:00 in the Fellowship Hall!!

Love this!

The search for Jesus was on last week at our Minneapolis Processing Center as a church accidentally packed the most critical part of their manger scene and shipped it with their shoeboxes! Amid the nearly 800,000 shoebox gifts being processed, Jesus was found and returned. We love Kathy's comment "This is a great reminder that Jesus is in EVERY shoebox we pack!"
