"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." These were Jesus' first words from the cross—and they set the tone for everything the cross would accomplish.

Forgiveness isn't just a nice idea. It's a GIFT we receive freely, a RESPONSIBILITY we carry as Christ-followers, a TEST of whether we truly trust God, and a KEY that unlocks His amazing plan for our lives. When Stephen forgave his persecutors just like Jesus did, the gospel spread like wildfire through Judea and Samaria. Saul the murderer became Paul the apostle—all because of forgiveness.

You don't forgive people because of who they are. You forgive because of who YOU are and what God has done in your life. The forgiver is available today. Whatever you've done, whoever has hurt you—forgiveness is available and required.

Will you trust God enough to let go?
