'All we ever have is a few passing moments. We call it life.'
St Francis understood that life was not something to possess or postpone. It was a gift to be received, here and now. We cannot recover yesterday, and we cannot guarantee tomorrow. But we can choose how we live this moment: what we give, what we release, whom we love, and what good we do.
We waste precious moments replaying the past, worrying about the future, and fighting battles that may not matter tomorrow.
St Francis chose to live differently. With simplicity. With gratitude. With an open heart.
🔹 ️Stop postponing life. Do the good you can do today.
🔹 ️Let go. Not everything deserves your energy, and not everything needs to be carried.
🔹️ Be present. Give God, people, and ordinary moments your full attention.
Life is passing, quietly and constantly. We never know how many moments we have left to love, to forgive, to encourage someone, or to make a difference. Do not wait for the perfect time, the right circumstances, or recognition from others. Do the good you can do today. Offer kindness. Make peace where possible. Help someone who cannot repay you. Speak the truth with love. Be present to those around you. Like St Francis, learn to see every encounter as an opportunity to love God through the way you treat His creation. You do not need to change the whole world. Just begin with yourself...
