Join Us for Lenten Soup Suppers & Stations of the Cross

During the season of Lent, St. Francis members and friends are invited to gather each Friday evening for a simple potluck meatless soup supper, followed by Stations of the Cross. Our first gathering will be on Friday, February 20 at 6:30 pm.

The soup supper is a longstanding Lenten tradition—a simple, meatless meal that reminds us of humility, fellowship, and the call to live more simply during this holy season. If you are able, please consider bringing a pot of meatless soup, bread, or a light accompaniment to share.

Stations of the Cross is a cherished devotion that invites us to walk with Christ on the way to Calvary, reflecting on His sacrifice and the depth of God’s love for us. Praying the Stations together offers a quiet, contemplative rhythm at the end of our week.

These Friday gatherings will continue each week through March 27. We hope you will join us for this meaningful pattern of prayer, reflection, and community life as we journey toward Holy Week together.

Ash Wednesday begins the holy season of Lent, a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal in the life of the Church. On Wednesday, February 18, St. Francis will offer two services: a quiet, said service at 12:00 noon and a service with music at 7:00 pm. Both services will include Holy Communion and the Imposition of Ashes, an ancient sign of our mortality and our need for God’s grace.

Ash Wednesday invites us to return to the Lord with honest hearts, to lay aside distractions, and to begin the Lenten journey with intention. Whether you come at midday or in the evening, we hope you will join us as we enter this sacred season together.
