Dwell Church Austin

Dwell Church Austin We are a small church community in East Austin. Our name comes from Ephesians 2:22, which says that God's people together become his dwelling place (Eph 2:22).

We together strive to live lives that are faithful to the Triune God and to his word revealed in Scripture. LOVING COMMUNITY

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." (Jn 15:12) We see church not as another human organization; we are God's family. Since we are family, we strive to be deeply committed to one another. We strive to obey Jesus' command to love each other as he loves

us. KINGDOM

Our church is a local expression of the bigger reality of the kingdom of God. Everything we do, we do for God's kingdom, as Jesus taught us to live and pray, "Your kingdom come." DISCIPLES

We believe that we are each called to live as Jesus' disciples. Disciples of Jesus devote themselves to knowing Jesus and to becoming like him. We believe that we are called to be a community of disciples that support and challenge each other in this. SOCIETY

"You are the light of the world." (Mt 5:14) Jesus, the Light of the World, calls us to be the light of the world. Our prayer and direction is for each person at Dwell to be the light of Jesus in their homes, their neighborhoods, their schools, their workplaces. We also look for partnerships that allow us to serve our city. MINISTRY OF THE WORD

We believe the word of God is living and active (Heb 4:12; Isa 55:10-11). We trust God will work through his Spirit to convict, renew, and grow us as we engage his Word. So our ministry mainly centers around studying the Word of God. Our Sunday preaching is through a book of the Bible at a time so that each person can grow in understanding the Bible passages in context. We encourage week-long reflection on the word of God and sharing of these reflections with one another. We also study the Bible in small groups and in pairs. OUR AFFILIATION

Our church is a part of the University Bible Fellowship network (ubf.org)- a non-denominational organization that is committed to raising disciples among college students.

Special thanks to for speaking and blessing us or first gathering, and .cho11 for leading worship and all who prayed and served today. We hope to see you Sunday’s at 10:30, and as always caffeine and food will be provided!

Happy New Year! Together, as a church, we pray to hold onto Luke 8:15 for the year 2020. “15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.” May we have good heart soils for the Word of God to be planted deeply.

Merry Christmas! Thankful for the good news of great joy we have through Jesus, that changes our lives for eternity.
